Due to the influence of an approaching low-pressure trough and Typhoon Bolaven No. 6, meteorologists forecast rain nationwide over the weekend.
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that it will rain in the afternoon in the Central and Southern regions on July 28 and July 29, and that Cheju and the South Coast will likely be indirectly influenced by the typhoon and will therefore receive more precipitation. In particular, on July 30 and July 31, heavy downpours and strong winds are expected nationwide due to the influences of the low-pressure trough and the typhoon.
The Korea Meteorological Administration warned citizens to pay close attention to typhoon information, as Typhoon Bolaven is a strong small-size typhoon with a central atmospheric pressure of 980 hectopascals and a maximum central wind speed of 28 meters per second. At 3:00 p.m. on July 28, the typhoon was located in the sea 410 km southwest of Kagoshima, Kyushyu, Japan, and was slowly moving northward. Its future course is difficult to predict.
