On July 31 (local time), America`s Republican Party accepted a new party platform, which includes the prevention of any intrusion into the Korean peninsula. At that time George W. Bush was officially appointed as the Presidential candidate.

On this day, the Republican Party confirmed the new party platform through the verbal agreement of 2066 delegates during a party convention opened at First Union Center in Philadelphia. Together with this, the Republican Party unanimously approved Governor Bush, the only person who was nominated by Jim Nicolsen, chairman of the National Committee, as the Presidential candidate.

Governor Bush will make an acceptance of candidacy speech on the evening of August 4.

The Republican party emphasized in its new party platform that "Korea is America`s precious democratic ally, while North Korea is outside the international system," and, "While it has been 50 years since the Korean War, in which Americans spilled their blood in counteracting North Korea`s invasion, started, the Republican Party remembers this `forgotten war`".

Also, the Republican Party declared, "We will clearly state a policy which contains firm resolution," and "America will abide by its public security promise and will stop and oppose any enemy attacking with the use of mass murder weapons, and will take all measures necessary in order to protect America`s ally nations."
