Cyber-mall technology exported to Japan

Hansol CSN, the nation¡¯s leading Internet shopping mall provider, exported its cyber-mall-operating technology to Japan, marking a first among Korean firms.

Hansol CSN signed an agreement with Telemann Communication Co.Ltd, a Japanese satellite Internet transmitter-receiver system supplier, to establish a joint venture and export the Web-based shopping mall operation technology in Tokyo on August 8.

According to the contract, Hansol CSN will receive a royalty amounting to 30 million yen (about 300 million won) from Telemann Communication. In addition, the two companies are to set up a joint venture with paid-in capital of about 1 billion won, where Hansol CSN will invest in return for about 30% of equity.

Hansol CSN is expected to provide technological support and commercial products to the joint venture, which also will be involved in delivering products between Korea and Japan.

Telemann Communication is the Japan-based subsidiary of Global Telemann Systems in Silicon Valley of the United States., offering solutions and equipment for Internet access systems via satellite.
