"Cheer up Korea!"
It is forecast that the largest Korea cheering fervor in history will hit the Sydney sky. Just counting the cheer groups who will be dispatched to Australia from Korea during the Olympics is more than 3,000 persons.
If one adds Koreans residing in Australia to this number, it is very difficult just to get a grasp of the size of the Korean cheering section. This is the largest size in the history of cheering for the Olympics.
The special characteristics of the cheer group to be dispatched are that there are a lot of, literally, free riders and good-looking men and women. If there were small-number dispatches centered on celebrities, including entertainers, until now, the Sydney Olympics cheer groups will have massive participation by ordinary citizens.
This is thanks to the Olympic Free Event promotion. From the beginning of this year Internet securities, distribution, food and beverages, and other corporations organized events providing Olympic air tickets, accommodations, and event tickets, thereby finding many Stars of free fortune. Most of the companies found 20 to 100 such stars per firm, and more than 500 persons already have gotten the fortune. They will stay in Sydney for about one week and cheer for the Korean team.
But the last emergency exit for going to Sydney is still open. This is the 2000 Sydney Korea Cheer Group being assembled jointly by Dong-A Ilbo, Donga.com, and Korea Telecom until the end of this year. This cheer group is the largest size for a single cheer group, gathering up to 400 persons. Return airfare, food, accommodations, entrance fees, etc., are 100% free.
Cheer masters and cheerleaders will go together, it is forecast to become festival cheers. They will be cheering for the important sports such as Judo, a medal box, for five nights and six days from September 16. Particularly, a reunification cheering system, in which both South and North Korean players are cheered for, has been planned for Judo, wherein Kye Soon-Hee, North Korea`s star, will play. One can apply through eight home pages, including donga.com (www.donga.com) and Korea Telecom (www.kt.co.kr ).
Other than these, Lotte Chilsung, Internet Portal Citinet are waiting for the star of fortune.
Nothing to lose. If you click well, then Sydney? It looks like the month of August will be a month of heart throbs for the minds of those sports lovers dreaming the dragon dream of going to Sydney.
