Rep. Park Sang-Hee said Tuesday that he would resign from the presidency of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business(KFSB) . His plan to step down from the top post of the national group of small and medium-size businesses is subject to the consent of an extraordinary board meeting of the KFSB, to be held September 8, and its provisional general conference, slated for September 28. Park made his decision in response to recent unfavorable public opinion against him holding two offices concurrently, that of a National Assemblyman and the KFSB head, as well as on the advice of many quarters prodding him to depart.
Park`s standing committee assignment was changed from the Political Affairs Committee, having jurisdiction over the Financial Supervisory Commission, to the Science, technolegy Information and Telecommunication.
