The Korea National Welfare Foundation, in conjunction with Donga Ilbo daily, on Sept. 5 delivered nutrients and other medicines for children in North Korea.

The medical aid shipped from Inchon to Nampo port in the North included 54 items in 22 categories such as cold pills and pain killers, plus other medical consumables of 14 kinds, and 100 blankets for the children at Pyongyang First Hospital.

The Korean National Welfare Foundation said the commodities in two containers are worth US$2,562,382 (equivalent to 3.07 billion won). It called for greater participation of the general public in relieving and supporting the North Korean population in distress.
