Kim Byung-Hyun notches sixth win

Kim Byung-hyun gained his sixth win, helped by his batters on Thursday as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 in Bankone Ballpark in Phoenix.

Kim, 21, pitched a one-hit eighth inning at 4-all, stopping four Dodgers batters, to become the winning pitcher with six wins, five losses and 14 saves, improving his IRA to 3.32 from 3.38.

David Dellucci drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out infield single in the bottom of the eighth inning with Steve Pinri, who was hit by a pitched ball on second base, for Arizona`s 5-4 win over Los Angeles.

In the top of the eighth inning, Kim retired Alex Cora and Gary Sheffield for two outs and allowed Shean Grinn a single, but stopped Eric Karros with a grounder to finish the inning.

Kim`s rival, Matt Mantei, finished with a perfect ninth for his 14th save in 16 chances.
