The government and the Korea National Red Cross confirmed the whereabouts of 76 people out of 100 who are included on a North Korean list as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, they disclosed.
The KNRC officials said that the task of locating the separated families will be finished by Wednesday afternoon, adding that people who were not located by the Red Cross or the mass media outlets, will be sought through electronic networks.
Meanwhile, the KNRC plans to convey to the North Korean side a roster of 200 hopefuls for their November reunions with lost families in the North on Oct. 4 through the border village, in exchange for the North Korean lists, as agreed at the second inter-Korean Red Cross talks.
