National Assembly chairman Lee Man-Sup and high ranking officials from both the ruling and opposition parties met with Chinese Premiere Zhu Rongji, who is in Korea to attend the ASEM summit meeting.
Chairman Lee met with Zhu on Thursday and discussed issues related to cooperative plans between Korea and China. He thanked Zhu for China's cooperation in the enhancement of South-North relations. Prime Minister Zhu replied that China will spare no efforts in providing support to bring peaceful unification between South and North Korea.
Grand National Party chairman Lee Hoi-Chang also met with the Premiere, at the National Assembly VIP room. Chairman Lee remarked that the South-North problem is one that has to be resolved and further stressed how both the ruling and opposition parties are in agreement relating to bringing peace and reunification.
Millennium Democratic Party head Suh Young-Hoon had a meeting with Zhu at the Hotel Shilla on Wednesday and United Liberal Democrats Honorary Chairman Kim Jong-Pil also met Zhu.
