The Defense Ministry suggested the inter-Korean working-level military commission meeting at 10 a. m. Thursday at the North's Tongil-gak in the truce village of Panmunjom in order to discuss matters relating to the construction of the inter-Korean railway and the highway to run beside it.

Brig. Gen. Kim Kyung-Duk, chief delegate of the South Korean military commission, sent a phone message to his North Korean counterpart Yu Yong-Chol, proposing that a liaison officers' meeting be held on Tuesday at the South's Peace House at the border village.

The government plans to form a delegation to the proposed military talks, comprising six members from the related military, Construction-Transportation Ministry and the National Railroad Administration, with Brig. Gen. Kim as chief delegate.
