The Navy has followed the lead of the corporate world by introducing the Korean military¡¯s first logo.

The logo consists of a triangular ship on which an anchor with the ¡°taeguk¡± (yin and yang) design appears.

The circle under the mast symbolizes the earth, which will be the stage for the future-oriented Korean Navy. The ¡°taeguk¡± design is meant to represent the uniqueness of the Korean navy. The wave design in the lower portion of the logo symbolizes smooth sailing in the oceans of the world and into the future.

The upper part is in sea blue to symbolize the sea, while the lower part is in light blue to stress the human aspect of the Navy.

The letters are crisp, clear and rounded to symbolize the spirit and moderation of Korean seamen.
