On the 68th anniversary of the death of patriot Yoon Bong-Gil (1908-1932) Tuesday, a picture was made public for the first time, showing the excavation work of the remains of the independence fighter against Japanese colonial rule (1910-1945) on Mount Noda in the suburbs of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan in 1946.

Yoon threw a bomb that killed a group of Japanese military leaders, including the commander of the Shanghai Command, in a Shanghai park April 29, 1932. He was arrested on the scene, taken to Osaka by Japanese police and was shot to death at the army prison in Kanazawa city Dec. 19, the same year. His body was buried in a mountain near the prison. His remains were recovered by South Korea after the national liberation in 1945 and were buried in Hyochang Park in Seoul.
