World`s biggest steel maker born

Representatives of the three largest steel makers in Europe, Usinor of France, Arbed of Luxembourg and Aceralia of Spain, link hands with one another and smile broadly after officially announcing a merger Monday. The newly created company became the world’s biggest steel producer, surpassing Korea`s Pohang Iron and Steel Co. (POSCO), the previous No. 1 steel maker.
