British actor Roger Moore, 74, better known as ``James Bond`` in the 007 films, will visit South Korea next month in the capacity of United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) friendship ambassador.
Moore, the third Agent 007 after Sean Connery and George Lazenby, will pay a courtesy call on National Assembly Speaker Lee Man-Sup on Apr. 19 to ask for Korea`s cooperation for the successful holding of the Special Children`s Congress. Korea is the chair-country of the 59th United Nations General Assembly to open in September. He will also meet with lawmakers of the Korean Parliamentary League for Children, Population and Environment and members of civil relief organizations and child-related groups.
Moore starred in seven 007 movies, including ``A View to A Kill.``
