[From Readers] Drive highway only when you fly

At last, Incheon International Airport opened on Mar. 29. The only route leading to the new airport, which is hoped to become the hub of Northeast Asian air transportation, is the newly constructed Incheon Airport Expressway. Some returning points are installed only for emergency use, such as in the event of accidents or natural disasters or extreme traffic congestion. Accordingly, once cars enter the expressway through the approach ramp from the Kimpo interchange on the Olympic Highway, they must drive as far as Youngjongdo. The reason that not many returning points were provided was to prevent cars speeding on circuit roads from entering the Incheon airport expressway and causing traffic jams.
