Korea and Cuba have agreed to set up trade offices in each country in an effort to promote trade and investments between Seoul and Havana, it was disclosed Wednesday. The agreement was reached between National Assembly Speaker Lee Man-Sup and Cuban foreign minister Felipe Peress during Lee`s visit to Havana on Tuesday.

During their meeting, the two sides shared the view that if the two countries promote mutual understanding through stepped-up contacts and exchanges, a favorable atmosphere will be created to establish formal diplomatic relations.
