Old-school stars Hwang Sun-Hong of Japan`s Kashiwa Reysol and Ha Seok-Joo of Pohang Steelers joined the Korean national soccer squad, led by Guus Hiddink of the Netherlands with rising star Lee Dong-Guk of Werder Bremen of Germany.

Choi Eun-Sung of Taejon Citizens and Suh Deok-Kyun of Ulsan Hyundai were recruited as the national players for the first time in their lives.

They were among 22 national players who will play in the soccer tournament among four nations to be held in Egypt on Apr. 24-26. Hiddink announced the list of his team members in a press conference at the building of the Korean Football Association in Sinmunro near Kwanghwamun, Seoul, Thursday.

New comer Choi Eun-Sung who joined Taejon Citizens in 1997 after graduating from University of Inchon got an honor to become a national player at the age of 30, while Suh Deok-Kyu is a rookie who turned pro this year.

Hiddink excluded Hong Myung-Bo and Yoo Sang-Cheol of Kashiwa Reysol and Ahn Jung-Hwan of Italy`s Perugia in the team for the Egyptian tournament because he had already tested their ability and skills in the previous international tournaments.
