Lee Eun-Shim Won the Silver Medal

Lee Eun-Shim (Sang-Mu) became a silver medalist in the double trap event at International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in all Olympic events in Seoul.

Lee finished the first round of shooting with 108 marks and went into the finals in women`s double trap at Taeneung Firing Range yesterday. Lee added 36 marks in the finals and became a silver medalist with a total of 144 marks. This is the Korea`s second medal, following Park Jeong-He (Hanvit Bank) who won the bronze medal in women`s 10m Air Pistol. The gold medal went to the Australian Suzanne Balogh.

Lee earned her first medal in the international shooting event by securing the second place.

Tao Luna (China), No. 1 Shooter in the world, marked 589 points in 25 m Air Pistol, added 104.3 marks, and secured the first place with a total of 693.3 marks in Women`s 25m pistol event.

Tao Luna was a silver medallist in Sydney Olympics in the same event, and gained two gold medals in a row, including the victory in the Atlanta World Cup last month.

Meanwhile, Boo Soon-Hee (Hanvit Bank) was ranked 6th with a total of 682.2 marks, and Choi Geum-Ran (Changwon City Hall) failed to advance to the finals with a total of 579 marks in the first rounds in the Women`s 25m pistol event.

In the Men`s running target event, Alexander Blinov (Russia) secured the first place with a total of 685.3 marks. And in the Men`s 50m pistol event, Mario Knoegler (Austria, 701.3 marks) won the gold medal, and Walton Eller (USA, 192 marks) earned the first place in the Men`s double trap.
