There are four English golfers and the world best golfer, who achieved the youngest career grand slam among 6 golfers, ranked in the `top-5`.
Can `a small pepper` fully demonstrate her ability competing with the golfers who have the home advantage along with the top stars?
`A super peanut` Kim Mi-Hyun (24, KTF) is pulling herself together to win her first major title.
In the third round of the Weetabix Women`s British Open (total prize of $1.5 million), the last major championship at the Sunningdale Golf Club (par 72) in Berkshire, England, Kim Mi-Hyun recorded a three round total of 8-under-par 208, shooting 1-under-par 71 with 3 birdies and 2 bogeys in the midst of heavy rain.
Kim shared the second place with Lora Fairclough (England) and Janice Moodie (England) in third round, just one shot behind the outright leader Catriona Matthew (England) with 9-under-par.
Kim showed her resolution, saying that ``I could not fully demonstrate my best ability, since my woods became unstable in the back nine due to the rain. I hope it will be bright in the fourth round. I will do my best to win the title``.
Meanwhile, Karrie Webb shared the fifth place with Trish Johnson (England) recording a 7-under-par 209 for three rounds. Webb already earned the four grand slam titles, and is challenging `the super grand slam` by winning the British Open which was promoted to the major tournament from this year. Webb showed the poor performance in the first round with a 2-over-par. But she was running up the leader-board with her formidable potential finishing two rounds with 60-level score, by which she presented her ambition toward the third consecutive major title.
Pak Se-Ri (24, Samsung Electronics), chasing her fourth victory for this year, advanced to the top-10, sharing 9th place with a three round total of 5-under-par 201. She has reduced the score by 2 shots for two days in a row.
Han Hee-Won (Fila Korea) shared the 23rd place with a 2-under-par, shooting a 3-under-par with 4 birdies and a bogey in the third round. Lee Ji-Hee (LG Insurance) also recorded a 3-under-par to share the 30th place with Park Hee-Jung who shot a 1-under-par.
Grace Park, who tied with the 13th place in the second round, captured 5 birdies, but fell to the 30th place with the three round total of a 1-under-par, because of her unsteady play recording 4 bogeys and 1 double bogey in the 16th hole (par 4).
