MBC’s Report Is Losing Its Fairness

6 members of the National Assembly of Grand National Party visited MBC and talked with the president of MBC Kim Joong-Bae. They asked MBC to correct their unfair report saying that MBC is loosing its sight on fairness and balance after the tax evasion incident by the Media Companies.

According to Ahn Tack-Soo and Nam Kyung-Pill, MBC distorted several news such as ``Statement by Korean Attorneys Association.`` and ``the death of the former president of Dong-a Ilbo Kim Byung-Kwan`s wife.``

They also insisted that MBC reported certain media with highly aggressive tone. Also according to them, MBC reduced the report concerning the statement by 32 elder while it over reported civil organization`s opinion.

Members gave the `unfair report` to MBC and blamed it saying, `` on the 23rd of last month, MBC did not report the statement by Korean Attorney Association but only reported their domestic conflict on the next day. MBC also did not reported the opposition party`s visit to the National Tax Service and its Conference on the national issue but reported only civil groups opinion.`` In response, president of MBC said, ``there are differences in perspectives; therefore, it is not proper to comment on the concrete report item.`` `` We have kept the balance and neutrality so far, and in order to keep the independence of production as we have not considered any outer pressure and meddlers so far, we sill do same in the future. ``
