The Participation in the Closing Ceremony Creates a Stir

A sensation is continuing as some representatives of the South took part in the closing ceremony of `8.15 grand festival for people`s unification` at Pyongyang unification memorial tower.

Government authority implied that we will ask for the legal responsibility of those, saying, ``We will hand this case to the court after we receive the report from them on the 21st.``

Before this incident, government once officially said to the center for people`s co-event at Seoul that it should keep the promise made before the visit to North Korea that the representatives will not participate in the opening ceremony.

Accordingly, the center at Seoul reminded the representatives of the South at Pyongyang that they once made a promise not to participate in the opening and closing ceremony; and that they do not make the same thing at the closing ceremony.

Representatives of the South discussed at Korea Hotel whether they should participate in the closing ceremony or not; but they failed to have a consent.

Both parties of the North and the South had a joint concert, `concert for the new generation youths` solidarity for unification` at Pyongyang youth central building, apart from the closing ceremony.

On the same day, both parties issued a joint-statement saying, ``We will reinforce an effort in the civil level to support the fulfillment of 6.15 deceleration.``

Meanwhile, Kim Young-Soon Secretary of South Korean policy of the Labor Party showed up in major events such as opening ceremony and dinner party, dissipating the rumor of his liquidation suggested by some of domestic press.
