The Grand National Party and the United Liberal Democrats are cooperating to find a joint measure to respond to the `3 Gates` requesting for the resignation of the Director General of the National Intelligence Service, Shin Kuhn, and the Public Prosecutor General, Shin Seung-Nam.
Rep. Kim Ki-Bae, secretary general of GNP, asserted at the executive meeting, "high-ranking officials of NIS gratified their selfish interests and the Prosecution tried to cover up the case. President Kim must expel two Shins and have to promise to the public that it won`t happen again."
Kim Jong-Pil, president of ULD, raised the issue of responsibility at the party`s five-leaders-meeting, stating that "there is no one who claims responsibility in the government. Even the President did not mention a single word about the incident." Kim also assured that "ULD will get to the bottom of the case related to NIS and Public Prosecution, without leaving a single suspicion before the people."
A related official said that "ULD will cooperate with GNP to discuss the necessary measures to urge them for a withdrawal rather than impeaching them in the National Assembly."
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-Soo of NMDP and Lee Jae-Oh of GNP agreed to hold an intelligence committee in the presence of Director General Shin as soon as possible and to discuss further for the attendance of the Public Prosecutor General to the legislation and judiciary committee.
