North Korea’s Labor newspaper criticized on the 20th, the day of South Korea-U.S.A. summit conference, that "it is an unbearable challenge against it that some hardline insistences, like `preemptive attack against North Korea`, are being discussed among the U.S. high officials."

In regards to U.S.A.’s mention of North Korea’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) development, Labor newspaper insisted, "There is no more cruel and dangerous evil manslaughter like the U.S., which has enormous nuclear weapons and missiles to always threaten the entire humanity, feeling the ecstasy of massacre. It is the `theory of robbery` to criticize others’ threat after all that danger." North Korea’s deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of People’s standing committee, Yang Hyung-Sup, urged in the commencement speech at Kim Il-Sung Broadcasting University on the 19th, "South-North Koreas and Koreans abroad must stop the invasion-war maneuvers of the U.S. and Japan, and start fighting for peace and security in the peninsula."
