Special public prosecutor (SPPT) of `Lee Yong Ho Gate` got the proof that Kim Yong Jae; former assistant of vice-chief of FSC (financial Supervisory Commission) received the request from Lee Su Dong, ex-director of AsiaPacific foundation, to interfere in investigation on FSC regarding falsification of stock prices of Mr. Lee Yong Hos Interpion.
SPPT identified through the result of investigating 3 staff of dept of FSC, who were in charge of investigating false stock prices of Interpion, and through minutes of book made in July~October in 1999,that they like Mr. Kim, influenced the investigation.
Following this, SPPT will resummon Mr. Kim soon and is investigating whether public prosecutor was involved or not when Seoul district court confirmed the suspicion of false stock prices of Interpion in March 2000. However, Mr. Lee Yong Ho was fined 20 million only.
SPPT is analyzing closely the record of investigated G and G group by public prosecutor and FSC in order to clarify if some public prosecutor received the request from Mr. Lee.Y.H or from Lee Su Dong side.
SPPT searched Mr. Kim`s house before summoning Mr. Lee.S.D on 25th and seized the data of FSC`s Investigation regarding G and G`s account.
SPPT called Choi Byeong Ho (46), former chairman of Kyong in mutual fund, who was arrested under the suspicion that he falsified stock prices of three companies like Interpion and took 1.4 billion won.
On the other hand, Lee SeungGu, who was Chief of Special Precinct 1 at Seoul District Court at that time (currently, Vice-chief Public prosecutor in Gwan Ju district court and arrested Mr. LeeY.H), said on 25th, "The one who led the false stock prices was Mr. Choi.B.H." and "There was no request or difference in opinion in connection with the arrest of Mr. Choi but Mr.Lee.Y.H was arrested informally."
In addition, Mr. Kim.Y.J, explained regarding reports that Do Seung Hee, ex-Director of Interpion who delivered Mr. Lee.Y.H`s money to Mr. Lee.S.D, requested him to ignore FSC`s investigation on falsification of stock prices, said, "I don`t know Mr. Do as well as I haven`t met him."
