The U.S will windup military operation (called as operation Anaconda) that started on the first of this month at Gardez, East of Afghanistan for the sake of mopping up Taliban and terrorists belonging to Al-Qaeda, in few days.

Donald Rumzfeld, U.S. minister of Defense said at a press conference with defense staff on 7th, “the victory will be achieved in few days” and “ I think it will finish this weekend or next week” foreign news delivered.

Hamid Karzai, head of Afghanistan temporary administration, also said, “I assure to mop up enemy in few days.”

However, minister Rumzfeld added, “ it is not sure how many enemies are left and they don`t seem to surrender yet”, and “ it seems that supply of goods is going on smoothly through tunnel.”

However, it is yet to be known if war can be completely over soon, due to nasty weather, tough ground conditions and strong protest by Taliban.

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) delivered, saying“the U.S. defense minister hopes that war can finish soon, concerning aggravation of public opinion.”

On the other hand, the U.S. carried out the largest scale of aggression since starting of operation such as sending 17 attack helicopters and 200~300 soldiers on 7th .

2,200~5000 Allied forces were sent besides 1,200 American troops so far and Afghans supported 1000 troops additionally.

CNN reported that it is estimated 450 Taliban have been killed since the starting of operation, therefore maximum of 650 were killed.

100 were killed on the 6th. American troops casualties were 8.
