[Opinion] Dreaming Sign Board Revolution

France, Paris reminds me of the model of our nation cities.

Because I studied in Paris for 5 years and it is the only country, which I go for a while to get data`s, once in two years.

In addition, Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and, as it was built forecasting today, since 19th century, we can live without big inconvenience today that has completely changed living conditions as compared to the 19th century.

I remember the bridge on Senne River, at first.

I envy it recalling that I used to walk on `Pont Des Arts (bridge of art) `that connects Louvre Palace with French academy.

The bridge that is made of wood is only for pedestrians.

I used to hope for a soft bridge like that on Han River.

When our city turns into a free walking city from passing city by cars, such bridge can be created.

In Paris, it is easy to find house, as the administration started giving house numbers since last 18th century and the number has a certain rule.

The number starts from upper stream of Senne River to down stream and from near sane river to far from it.

And one side of the street has odd numbers, the other side has even

Also, if you know, that Paris stretches from center to outskirts like drawing a concentric circle, there is no difficulty.

In comparison to our nation, it is difficult to find house despite having address and map, as if government wanted to make spy activity complicated and difficult.

Also, Korean streets have so many signboards; therefore it causes more confusion in cities that are already confused.

I wonder that foreign guests forget to spend money as they are too much confused.

In Paris, I never thought that its signboards and Ad posters spoils city beauty.

France has regulated signboards reasonably since 200 years ago, already.

Sartin, the Senior Superintendent General in Paris defined and controlled the size and height of signboards in 1761.

After that he instructed not to hang projected signboards and adhere to sign boards on the wall of shops and houses.

Therefore big projected signboards that were like heads of monster, and arms with holding sword, which were in great numbers in Paris city, disappeared.

Rui Sebastian Merci, who was popular writer in latter 18th century, wrote on` face of Paris` in 1782, ¡° ugly protruding sign boards disappeared therefore, Paris is having a clean and shaved face, gently¡°

We spend the day seeing stickers which are stacked on apartment doors or electric poles, horizontal signboards, vertical sign boards, protruding signboards, banner, ad balloons, performance signboards, advertisement on windows, artistic Ad, propaganda tower and posters.

And we meet night with electric lights coming from the cross of churches and each neon signboards.

I think that the more such Ads compete one another, the less efficient they would be.

Therefore, how is it to look for measures in order to greet guests with clean faces by rectifying signboards in same conditions, before World Cup?

People who live in this land should live well, and then guests can stay comfortably
