Powerful Earthquake in Taiwan Measuring 6.8

Taiwan Meteorological Center announced earthquake eruption measuring 6.8 on Richter scale, under the sea of Hualien city, which is 180km away from Taipei on 31st at 2:52 P.M (local time).

High rise buildings in Taiwan were strongly shaken, operation of sub railway was stopped, and people rushed to buy necessities, foreign news delivered

In Taipei, two big cranes fell down at a construction site of 100 storey building injuring some people, delivered foreign news.

CNN announced, “ at least 3 big buildings fully collapsed, or partly collapsed ” and “ however, exact damage situation hasn`t been ascertained.”

On the other hand, Japan announced a tidal wave warning, as a storm wave might occur in islands of Okinawa province due to this earthquake.
