Sales records of online shopping malls in the year’s first quarter (January – March) exceeded their original goals. Especially, as the sales amount is sharply increasing every month, shopping malls’ business performance is expected to become better.
According to the report on the 3rd, the 1st quarter-sales of Hansol CS Club (www.csclub.com) reached 61.3 billion won, which is 7.5 Per Cent high than the original goal of 57 billion won. The company’s planning manager Cho Hyun-Dae said, “The sales are increasing every month like 19 billion won in January, 20.3 billion in February, and 22 billion in March. The break-even point was first crossed in March, and the second quarter has a good outlook too.”
Lotte.Com (www.lotte.com) also reported that it achieved 90 billion won during January and March, which is 340 Per Cent higher than last year. Such record is 31.8 Per Cent higher than the goal (68.5 billion won). Lotte.Com’s director Kang Hyun-Ku said, “Sales record is rising almost erect. It seems like the long-term profit-rise can be secured for sure.”
Daum Shopping (shop.daum.net)’s sales record in March was 13 billion won, exceeding 100 billion won for the first time. Daum’s headquarters director Choi Se-Hoon said, “We set this year’s goal 3 times higher than last year rather offensively, but if it runs like the first quarter, the goal will be reached without problem.”
Yahoo Shopping (www.yahoo.co.kr) also announced that it earned 25 billion won, which is 31.5 Per Cent higher than the first quarter-goal 19 billion won. Also, SK DtoD (www.skdtod.com) and LG Internet Super Market enjoyed high sales records of 30 and 10 Per Cent above compared to last year.
