Along with the recovery of business, companies are anticipated to hire average 16.9 percent more people this year. Especially large manufacturing companies will recruit actively.
According to the `prospect and trend of hiring new employee`, which the Korea Employers Federation (KEF) announced on the 14th after surveying 920 companies with over 100 employees, 58.3 percent of total surveyed companies answered to hire new hands, while 17.2 percent of the companies have no plan, and 24.5 percent have not determined yet.
The ratio of the companies, which will hire new staffs this year, increased by 8.8 percent from 49.5 percent last year.
40.2 percent of the companies without hiring plan responded to increase the recruiting level. The ratio increased by 14.7 percent from last year. The survey said that the 44.4 percent answered to maintain last year`s level, and 15.4 percent to decrease.
Kim Jeong-Tae executive of FEK said, “the demand for new hands is increasing as the rate of operation of equipment is on the rise and large firms expand facility investment.”
By the scale of the companies, large companies are going to increase the recruitment level by 22.6 percent, and small and middle size companies 5.1 percent. And by the form of industries, the employment hike level will be 21.9 percent in manufacturing, and 5.8 percent in non-manufacturing.
Meanwhile, by the form of employment, about 74.8 percent of the new openings are for regular full-time workers, and 25.2 percent are for temporary positions. To find employees, 29.2 percent will use Internet, and 24.8 percent recommendation from schools, and 21.7 percent advertisement in newspaper and broadcast.
