[Opinion] Hong-up Goes And Hong-gul Goes, too

When Prometheus gave fire to human beings, father of Gods, Zeus got furious and told God of Blacksmith, Hepaistos to create Pandora, a woman.

Zeus gave one box to Pandora and requested repeatedly not to open at any cost.

But Pandora opened the box after all, being defeated by curiosity.

Therefore, disasters like poverty, disease and misfortune, which Zeus kept in the box in order to send to human world, came out.

Frightened Pandora closed the box hurriedly however, the thing that was left in the box was only `futile hope` which couldn`t come out early.

It is the story of `Pandora box` in Greek-Rome mythology.

Mythology is beyond area of rational reason.

It is not important if it is true.

We seek origin of human life by reading mythology.

Therefore, `Pandora box` is not always existent in mythology.

It can be found from our life.

The opened box that we are observing now is also the same case.

Let us call the name as `box of Choi Gyu-sun` at first. A small and 42 year old man, who has unusual rule of life, talent and uncontrolled ambition opened box that is the source of his greed.

Therefore, `three poison of human mind` that is referred to in Buddhism, greed, stupidity and anger popped their head intensely.

Following is one paragraph of `Choi Gyu-sun`s recorded tape`.

“Listen well. Summon of the prosecution is coming near. I have come till now for only political comeback, as doctor Kim (Kim Hong-gul) knows, waiting five years, bearing and sacrificing everything. I will protect and embrace Mr.Hong-gul at any cost. Therefore, tell father. If they try to drive me into infamous offence or any method to block my come back, I will spit everything out. I have a mind to die. Remember this”.

He seems to have a hope to be presidential secretary when current government resumes, when DJ won the election, he said to him, “your grade has changed.

Your position in the power is getting changed. You should be grown up under me”, therefore, he might expect bigger position than that.

For all that, `political comeback` that had to plan sacrificing everything and wait for five years, isn`t it greed?

He will embrace and protect Mr.Hong-gul at any cost? Isn`t it stupidity?

I will spit everything out. I have a mind to die? It is destructive anger.

However, things that `Choi Gyu-sun`s box` spilled out is not only three poisons of himself.

Real disaster fell on superficial and artificial power.

Now, the power is hard to maintain any dignity.

`Future hope` that is left in the box?

What could we say more?

According to Kim Eung-Ryong (manager of pro-baseball) version, I hope that Hong-up goes and Hong-gul goes, too.

When manager Kim was in Haitai tigers, he had much worries because Dong-ryul (Sun Dong-ryul) went and Jong-beom (Lee Jong-beom) went, too.

However, current situation of nation would be out of shape if `Hong-up doesn`t go and Hong-gul doesn`t go, either`.

We are fed up of story of `Hong-up and Hong-gul`.

They should disappear in order to hold successful world cup as well as health of people.

It can be heard as cold-heartedly, however, I hope to withdraw word that let`s observe investigation of the prosecution.

By the way, DJ is a leader of one regime.

Although unusual expectation on him has collapsed miserably, he should wind up one regime neatly as final compensation for those who supported and sacrificed for him in the name of democratization for a long time.

He should make a final effort so that `futile hope` which is left in the box, can be connected to new hope.

If he does so, DJ will carry out his duty of his period.

`Box of Pandora` has opened.

However, if human being makes mythology, it can make hope, too.

Isn`t it the thing which Mr.Lee Hoi-chang and Mr.Roh Moo-hyun should do?
