Roh Moo-hyun

Roh Moo-hyun, the Presidential candidate of the ruling Millennium Democratic Party(MDP) is going to announce a public statement Friday morning regarding the disappointing result of the local elections at the headquarters of MDP in Yoido.

According to an MDP official, Roh would humbly accept the judgement of the public and reconfirm his promise to receive a vote of confidence on his presidential candidacy from his party if his party fails to secure one or more posts in the elections in Busan and South Gyeonsang province in his statement.

He added that Roh indicated his aides to remail silent on the confidence procedures and manners since he would follow the party`s decision.

Roh is reported to continue his campaign as a presidential candidate during the confidence procedures are underway.
