September of Australia is like March of flowers for us. As it is located in the southern hemisphere, its seasons are opposite to us.
News of spring is really flowers. A flower palace by colorful flowers was made in Kings park near Swan river in Perth (western capital of Australia), where flower festival was held last week. Green grass, numerous wild flowers, river swans where pelicans are playing, and skyline of city, which has the backdrop of blue sky and river .
City scene of Perth from Kings Park. It was like a cup of champagne longing for fairness.
Morning 8:00
MAN truck, made in Germany that carried 20 passengers of travel agent (Australia Pinnacle tours), left Perth city. Destination was Pinnacle desert, where Nambung national park is located, and 240 kms north of Indian Ocean beach. 8 Ton truck for desert tour that was modified into a bus on a highway at 100 km per hour.
We reached Yanchep national park in one hour via satellite city, Judalup. There were Australian indigenous wild animals such as Coala, Wambat. We witnessed an interesting scene in golf field, outside the fenced area, 10 kangaroos occupied fairway and golfer hit driver shot without reluctance.
The place where we went driving two and hours was a beach village called Servantes.
Our truck went on the beach stepping on white coral powder. Pinnacle desert was 7 km away from here. When we entered national park through an unpaved road, huge sand hills greeted us.
Dunes that changed its color due to intensity of light. Sometimes golden yellow, sometimes Indian pink. Dune trekking started after getting down from the car.
Trekking course is one-way muddy road circling Pinnacle desert and then returning back to the parking lot. Compact cars below 24 passengers can pass the course but for enjoying the real taste of the Pinnacle desert, walking would be better. Dune is a huge hill that is formed by sand dust accumulated by wind for a long time. Pinnacle desert was in the middle of dune.
On the turn of curved road there was a brilliant scene. The pinnacle, which I used to see in photographs, was right in front of me. Thousands of Pinnacle peaks that pierced the sky breaking out of sand ground of golden dune. The feeling was really different to that seeing in a photograph.
Power of nature is so much honorable. Pinnacles scattered in the whole of desert.
Shape and sizes were different. Small ones were knee height and the big ones reached up to 3.5m. They were all pillars of limestone. Their color also changed frequently.
If clouds take the sunshine away, they will become gray and in sunshine they turn golden and amid sunset they changed to orange. Look at sand dunes amid pinnacles.
There is track of wind like wave. Which art could be more beautiful to this? What was more admirable was strong power of life under pinnacles.
There was life even in such a dry desert. We can see this pinnacle desert in only Nambung national park. Truck went for beach looking for mid point of dunes. Dunes, if we see from far, are white in color due to coral powder.
While running for 30 minutes, we could see many stones on the sand ground. All were pinnacles. Truck went right in the middle of dunes. Skilful driver, Brian, a 60-year-old man, pressed the accelerator deeply and hurriedly. It was the moment when we identified the power of four wheels.
Slopes that faced wind were like cliffs and were inclined to 30 degrees. Truck ran this sand hill while we experienced the thrill of falling down. He drove three or four times. There were mixed screams and hurrahs. Next was sand boarding. Driver gave board to passengers. We enjoyed sliding on sand hill.
Way back to Perth. There was a huge grassy field filled with lambs and cows. Truck ran through the forest and hills, which were full of unknown flowers. We could enjoy pure nature of Western Australia. Four wheeler tour of Pinnacle Australia was really a suitable tour in Australia.
