Bush, "Have No intension of Attacking North Korea"

US president, George W. Bush made a statement on a support to North Korea on November 15. US re-declared which it has no intension of attacking the North Korea. Also, if the North Korea completely gives up a nuclear development, US will take measures to help residents of N. Korea.

However, in a meeting with Bob Woodward, vice president of Washington Post, US president said that it cannot be satisfied with a status quo to North Korea.

US president, Bush emphasized in the statement, “US wants a different future from N. Korea. As mentioned in February, US has no intension of attacking of North Korea.”

He also added, “US has sought a friendship with North Korean.”

Then, the US president Bush said, “We proposed a comprehensive talk with N. Korea last June and tried to find a bold approach. When N. Korea solves our worry, we are ready to take important measures to improve a life of N. Korean remarkably.”

However, he added, “As a secret nuclear weapon program of N. Korea has been disclosed, such approach cannot be pursued.”

He welcomed that KEDO Executive Board requested a removal of the nuclear weapon program to N. Korea on November 14 and decided to stop a providing of heavy oils.

Besides, in an interview with Bob Woodward, vice president of Washington Post, US president said, “Experts say that there is a large financial burden to knock down National Defense Commission Chairman, Kim Jong-il. Accordingly, there must be not a hurry to take measures. Such problem is the worry on the human conditions to me.”

He said, “I loathe the National Defense Commission Chairman Kim Jong-il. He has famished people. I have known that he has tortured people and broken up families by building the large concentration camp.”
