Former Employees of Samsung Sweep the CEO Positions

The former employees of Samsung are sweeping the positions of CEO in the international companies of Electronic and Information Technology Field advanced in Korea.

According to the electronic and IT industry report on 16th, former employees of Samsung has been assigned as the corporation CEOs in worldly known electronic companies, such as General Electric, Sony, Olympus, Fujitsu, etc, in last couple of years. Presently, there are over 10 people who are the former employees of Samsung Affiliates, such as Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDS who are in the positions of CEOs or in the high-ranking executive positions in foreign electronic industries.

In GE Korea, president Chae-Wook Lee is assigned to take over the CEO position after the retirement of the president Seok-Jin Kang who is retiring at the end of this month. President Lee is the former employee of the Samsung Products and has made a relationship with GE through the partnership between GE and Samsung on the Samsung/GE Medial Instruments and with the persuasion of the president Kang, he moved his employment to GE. From being a vice president of the GE Medical Systems of Asia, he was promoted as the corporation`s CEO in May.

The president Myung-Woo Lee of Sony Korea is a well known international marketing professional in charge of the sales in England, US, the Middle East, etc, during his service with Samsung Electronics. After having the position of the chief general manager of the North America with Samsung, he moved to Sony. The president, Il-Suk Bang, of Olympus Korea was a Samsung Electronics` resident worker in Japan, but received a scout proposal from the headquarter of Olympus Japan in 2000. And the president, Kyung-Soo An of Korea Fujitsu has moved to Fujitsu in 1996 after his employment at Samsung Group as the Director of the CEO`s Secretaries and the chief of Samsung Electronics PC Business.

Besides these, president Jae-Min Kim of The Zone Digital (former president of Korea Microsoft until not long ago), and the vice president of Han-Sang Yeun of MiB Technology (former vice president of Korea Oracle) are both from Samsung SDS and In-Tae Kim, the former vice president of Korea GE Lighting, is also from Samsung SDI.
