Children Animation Character `Cubix` Now on Stage

A die-shaped robot Cubix, the hero in popular children animation series `My Friend Cubix,` will be on musical stage to meet his little fans in person.

`Musical Cubix,` which made its first debut last year during the 2002 World Cup, will be reintroduced under new name `Musical Cubix, the Great Adventure` for a 6-month long trip nationwide. The show will first meet the audience in Seoul through March 16.

The original animation work `My Friend Cubix` was initially introduced in the U.S. and enjoyed great popularity outperforming `Pokemon` in viewer rating, before it came to Korea.

Adopted for a theatrical play, now it has become the first `robot character musical` in Korea. And the ambitious production team made in Japan such robot characters as Cubix, villain Scavenger and Cubix` girlfriend Dong Dong, as well as costumes for little actors and actresses.

Four-wheel motorcycles are crisscrossing the stage, while robots are flying under the specially designed light in tune with songs and music. Kim Ji-hye, Hani from Gag Concert, and Son Heon-soo from Comedy House will sing and dance playing main characters.

The stage turns into a fairy tale story in the land of imagination, the theater explains, and `Musical Cubix, the Great Adventure 2003` will be an interesting gift for little children.
