Mercy on Us

At 10 a.m. on May 8, or Day of Buddha, some 20,000 temples across the nation held a ceremony to commemorate the 2547th Buddha’s Coming Day. The Jogyesa, the headquarters temple of the most powerful Buddhism order in Korea, also held a ceremony. On hand was the highest Buddhist priest, which was an unprecedented move.
