Shinsegae pummeled Woori Bank by 71-59 at a match held in Chuncheon Gymnasium on July 23. Their victory put an end to Woori`s home winning streak at 7. This was the third loss in a row for the last winter season champion.
With the latest win, Shinsegae kept the second place (4 wins and 2 losses), narrowing the gap with the leader Samsung Life (6 wins) by two games.
Despite the absence of key player Jung Sun-min, who left the team to join U.S. WNBA, Shinsegae continued to fight hard as starting players scored points evenly. Five starting players including Jang Sun-hyung (25 points) and Lee Eon-ju (15 points), in fact, scored two-digit points on the day`s match.
