Korean Warrior` Gi-heyon Seol (24 Anderlecht·photo) scored offense points in 2 consecutive games in 2003~2004 Europe Champions League Football Game, the dream arena.

The first game of 3rd round with Visla Krakov(Poland) was held in Brussels on the 14th. Starting member Seol assisted the first goal after 11 minutes since the whistle-blow, and led his team`s victory with score of 3-1. Seol has registered 2 consecutive offensive points following his winning goal in the 2nd game of 2nd round against Rapid Bucharest on the 7th.

Star Wars`Champion league is the competition among the champion of each nation, which is a splendid opportunity for a player to elevate his value. Gi-heyon Seol put his name as scoring player for the first time as a Korean in the game against Halmstad (3rd round or preliminary game) in August 2001, showing strong features in the Champions League.

He was recovered from his injury on the right ankle, playing full time, breaking the offensive route for Jestrovic and Aruna by dragging the defenders with sharp side breakthrough. Seol dribbled the ball after 11 minutes in the first half, passing one of the defenders and centering the ball to Jestrovic who scored the first goal of the game.

When Jestrovic was substituted in the first half after 38 minutes, Seol took the role as striker to seek for a shot. He shot the ball followed by a fantastic dribbling that cleared away two defenders, but failed to score. Also Seol`s superb cross-pass to Aruna was made after 29 minutes in the second half, but failed to score again.

Anderlecht gained control of Krakov that recovered only 1 goal easily with Lovre and Aruna`s additional goals. Anderlecht advanced to a advantageous ground where proceeding to the final round is still available even if it loses the away game on the 27th.

In the meantime, Seol`s injury worsened a bit after taking a few shots, but he doesn`t seem to suffer any trouble to play in the next game.

He said, “I fell a few times after tough struggle with the opponents in the first half, but the physical condition is still good enough. I will make more efforts to score some goals in the game. Hopefully, I will learn more and advance to the Big League next year.”
