Kim Ju-mi, Birdie Parade... Jump to First place

“Rookie Pro” Kim Ju-mi (19 years old, Hi Mart) took sole possession of first place as she is looking for her second victory of her first season in tour at the second round of the Fourth Woori Securities Ladies’ Classic Golf Tour held in Korea CC (par 72), Youngin-si Kyungki on October 16.

Kim Ju-mi, who joined the professional league this year after winning the gold medal at the Busan Asian Games last year, hit four birdies without a bogey today, lowers her total score to 4-under par. She was tied for seventh place yesterday, but today she wrote her name at the top of the list.

Kim Ju-mi, the winner of Hansol Ladies Open in May, who has reserved this season’s rookie title, hit a birdie within six meters of the pin at the 2nd hole (par 3) and putted within 11 meters of the pin on the par-3 16th hole, then sank the downhill putt for a difficult birdie.

Chun Mi-jung (TaylorMade), who is in second place in terms of the season’s prize money ranking, was tied for first place after the first round but didn’t lower her score today. She finished the day tied in second place with Shin Hyun-joo (Fila Korea).

Lee Jung-yun (Hankook Tire) and Jang Jung, who both play in U.S LPGA, are tied for fourth place with a total of 1-under par scores. Lee Sun-hwa (CJ), last season’s leader in terms of season prize money ranking, is tied for 1oth place with a total 1-over par score.

Unknown Kim Mi-hyang, who hit a hole-in one and consecutive birdies and was tied for first place yesterday, had a 4-over par score and is now tied for 14th place. Kim Mi-hyun, who first played in Korean Tour this year during her U.S Tour, failed to get accustomed to this course’s green and took the join 31st place with a 4-over par score.
