Five Heroes at South Pole

Mountaineer Park Young-suk, 41, and his expedition team conquered the South Pole in just 44 days after embarking from the Hercules seashore last November 30 under the auspices of Dong-A Ilbo. They set a record as the fastest unsupported team to reach the South Pole by foot or ski. Lee Hyun-jo, Park Young-suk, Oh Hee-jun, Kang Chul-won and Lee Chi-sang (from the left) shout hurrah.
