On March 11 at 2:47 p.m., two F-5E Je-gong Ho fighter jets belonging to the 10th Air Force crashed over the West Sea during maneuvers and fell 15 miles west of Taean Peninsula, Chungnam.
The Air Force is investigating the accident with a helicopter and probe. However, it is uncertain whether or not Mr. Umm, the squadron leader, and Mr. Han, the captain, are still alive and why the accident was happened.
The F-5E Je-gong Ho is the first Korean fighter jet, developed by improving the American F-5E which was sold to Korea.
