Running a full marathon course is a good way to know yourself. While running for a long period of time, one can look back and check one’s condition. But talking about the master’s marathon, it is more important to enjoy the race rather than focusing on records. If one doesn’t push oneself and also keep you composure, your record will improve naturally. The Seoul International Marathon course isn’t harsh so maintaining normal conditions will result in a good run.

The following are some tips to finish a good race.

6∼16km—

The slope from Downhill Road until the Goonjah Bridge Crossroad is gentle. From Eulji hall, the 5 km point, until the subway station of Euljiro 1 ga, which is the 7.5 km point, the road goes uphill constantly, but since it’s the first part of the race, it’s good to ease up. Also if you push too hard on the downhill roads, the pace could increase rapidly so be careful. An excessive pace in this initial part could ruin the race. Whenever you pass a beverage stand, be sure to fill up with water just enough to wet your throat. Historical facts National treasury number 1 Sungryemun, treasury number 1 Heunginjimun (Dongdaemun), and Dapshim-ri where the king from long ago had planted seeds with the farmers could be recalled to ease the tension of the weary race. Finally, don’t forget to acknowledge the cheering civilians.

16∼30km—

Until Jamsil Jugong Fifth Avenue number 523, the uphill road continues, which is 25m above the sea level. It’s good to lower the center of gravity of your upper body and run. At this point, your body will start to heat up and the muscles will begin to loosen. You would like to speed up, but it’s wise not to do so. Whenever you pass Jamsil Bridge, which is the 21km point, the time should be between 9 a.m to 10 a.m. You can just enjoy the race while viewing the beautiful scene of the Han River. At the 30km point, which is the Olympic Parktel number 204, you will feel your body becoming heavier.

30∼42.195km—

The course from the City Development Apt. Number 101, which is at 36km, is flat. However, this is the time where it hits the peak and it is when you may want to give up. But, thinking about your family members, your strength recovers. From this point to the Sports Complex Crossroad, which is the 41Km point, it is a gentle slope, 10 meters above sea level. For the masters group, it will be reminiscent of Boston’s “Heartbreak Hill (Hill of tears). ” You should implement a short-step running style and save your strength. When you overcome all the obstacles and go around the track of Jamsil Stadium, you will feel a major accomplishment. Once you pass the finish line, do not lie down or sit down. You must do some light stretching and loosen the muscles in order to recover quickly.
