The postcard with the photograph of a “Chosun woman dressed in palace attire” was finally released to the public. Recently, the postcard was posted on an internet auction site. On the upper left corner of the postcard, a postmark dates it as “year 42 (Meiji 42, 1909) July 31, Masan.” Also, on the bottom of the postcard, the words, “An Old Woman in the Corean Court” is written. Thus, the postcard seems to have been sent by someone through the Masan Post Office one year before the Korean Empire was annexed to Japan.
