“Will You Be a Blood Donor?”

The Korean Red Cross staffs appealed for blood donations while giving roses to citizens at the Seoul Station on August 13. One thousand staff members from the Korean Red Cross launched the campaign in 12 venues nationwide, including Seoul on this day. As the shortage of blood supply becomes serious, the government made plans to give blood donors various benefits such as half-day leaves and discounts on public accommodations and cultural facilities, beginning in 2006.
