The atmosphere in Yeongi County and Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province, candidate locations for the new administrative capital, has cooled down as a result of the Constitutional Court’s decision that a special law for constructing the new administrative capital is a violation of the Constitution. Officials of the Nam-myeon office of Yeongi County are taking off placards here and there, put up by the residents who either had supported or opposed a plan to construct the new administrative capital.
