Cheonggye Stream, National Police Agency, Park Ji-sung Win “Promote Korea” Awards

The Seoul Foreign Correspondents’ Club held its third annual “foreign correspondents’ public relations” award ceremony yesterday at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul.

In the public service category, the National Police Agency won the award for its efforts to inform foreign correspondents about its security measures during this year’s APEC summit meeting in Busan. Other award categories and winners included a private corporation award-SK Corp.; a society award-Cheonggye Stream; a performance award-“At the Bottom” by the Jase Repertory Company; a film award-“Welcome to Dongmak-gol”; a traditional culture award-the Fusion National Classical Music Group, Donghwa; a soccer award-Park Ji-sung; and a singer award-SG Wannabe.

This year marks the 3rd anniversary of this award. The award recognizes individuals or organizations that have promoted Korea’s image among foreign correspondents abroad.
