Landslide Toll

Philippine troops collect the corpses of those caught in the recent landslide in a small southern village on Leyte Island. Though exact estimates have not been made, Philippine authorities have revealed that up to 3,000 people may be dead or missing in February 17’s landslide. The extent of the destruction and heavy rain has caused additional dangers to the rescue efforts.
