Seoul ranked 89th out of 215 cities around the world in a recent quality of life survey.
Mercer Human Resource Consulting (MHRC), an international consultancy, announced the results of its quality of life assessment of 215 cities yesterday. Seoul was ranked 89th, up one notch from last years 90th place showing. Yeosu, South Jeolla Province ranked 109th and Ulsan ranked 116th.
This annual report assesses the quality of life of major cities around the world based on political and social environment, economic environment, health care, education, public services, leisure, consumables, housing, and natural environment.
The cities are compared and given a rating using New York City (100 points) as a baseline.
The survey is used to rate the quality of life for employees of multinational companies.
Zurich, Switzerland took the top spot this year with 108.2 points.
