The World Food Program (WFP), which has suspended food aid to North Korea since January of this year, has decided to resume the assistance starting next week. Asia Director for the WFP Tony Banbury (left) and director for international organizations of North Koreas Foreign Affairs Department Lee Hong Sik agreed to resume the WFPs food aid and shook hands on May 10 in Pyongyang. Banbury said yesterday, Food aid will be provided for 1.9 million people over the next two years, only for children, infants and pregnant women.
