AIDS Fight

Attendees of the UNAIDS conference gathered on Tuesday at the front of U.N. headquarters in New York, each holding a red ribbon-shaped umbrella signifying the battle against AIDS. On this day, UNAIDS released a 630-page report announcing that the number of AIDS patients worldwide have reached 65 million. June 5 is the 25th anniversary of the first U.N. report on AIDS.
